Delta passengers can now use their fingerprints as a boarding pass

This Taps into a voluntary enrolled security program. It's not clear if Delta stores fingerprints or if it just gets an okay from the government servers.

I wonder what will happen with all these different in entities storing our fingerprints. I'm not even sure if my fingerprints on my phone are stored only locally or they go out to the cloud.

i'm looking forward to criminals cutting people's fingers off in order to evade detection as they fly around the country with no worries about detection.

This. Just replace "criminals" with "those types of people".

Can't remember where I read it, but the theory was that in order to get us from where we are to '1884', people will voluntarily give their info away so they can partake in technological "convenience". It won't have to be a forced law. People will do it on their own, because people are lazy. And the gubment thanks you for it..

aye, it was............................but maybe they've grown as their business model was the best and performance was the best.
Delta actually have really nice planes now. Last two times I've flown with them they were brand new.

Which is odd as they still have flip out ashtray in the toilets. Same with Qatar airways, new planes , really fancy, fucking ashtray you can't use

The fuck!

I used to fly to Mexico without needing a pat down or a passport in the 90's up til 2001 it was a lot more fun to travel. Now if I want to travel TSA gives me a de facto hernia check and physical exam.

Shitty time to fly on a plane.

My fingerprints are in the system anyway. May as well do this. A guy can't sell a few hundred guns without being printed. Lame

That's it right there, everything is voluntary.

Just like the use of Facebook and the amount of information users voluntarily give up.

It's the great deception, in the name of security.

This all goes back to 9/11 and the laws introduced and passed post 9/11.

They are tightening the grip ....

dude/bro, if you think those stay local to your phone I feel sorry for you and a bit confused as to the beliefs of all intelligent humans.

This aint theory...nothing phone/computer related is private, unless you are some uber hacker that protects your shit
