It was rare when Randy Couture moved up to HW and won the belt from Tim Sylvia. Now Demian Maia is set to face Tyron Woodley for the WW title following his prior unsuccessful challege to Anderson Silva's MW title. How many other fighters have fought for a belt at multiple weights in the UFC? This is who I have:

Are you counting the super fight belt as heavyweight? Ken fought Tito for lhw belt at UFC 40. Royce never had a actual title shot in any weight class.

I'm saying if we count tournament championships, Royce counts like Vitor and we can count Ken's 2nd fight with Severn. Then we have Royce vs. Hughes and Ken vs. Tito.

Hughes was a 175 catch weight non title fight.

It was the UFC openweight championship, designed to have a champion that tournament winners would challenge against, which became the UFC HW belt at UFC 12 because weight classes were introduced.

And the 4-man tournament Vitor competed in was in no shape or form for the HW belt. Because the same HW belt I just referred to was being fought over on the same card.

True, but that belt kinda was the same belt. Tito picked up Frank's lineage. I'd say Horn basically had 2 shots at the same belt.

Someone else who could belong though is Carlos Newton. Lost in the finals of the MW tournament to Hendo (robbery) and challenged both successfully and unsuccessfully for the WW belt.
