Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos (18-5 MMA, 12-4 UFC) has been pulled from a planned fight with Francis Ngannou (10-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC) due to a potential doping violation.

UFC officials today revealed the news after being notified by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy.

Dos Santos was flagged after an out-of-competition drug test conducted Aug. 10. Per standard USADA procedure, details on the nature of his anti-doping violation are being withheld during the results management process.

Lol, people have no idea. Pre USADA UFC basically had the same rules about Pride for drug testing. If a guy couldn't pass a fight night test he was a dummy. I'm a fan of JDS and he is a nice dude but I ALWAYS Thought he was on PEDs, I mean just look at him. He shrunk a bit in the post USADA years but not that much. Pre USADA he was basically a body builder.

Yeah and let's not also forget that the UFC didn't test everyone just a couple random fighters per event.

This was one of the few fights I wouldn't be rooting for JDS but still upset :(

yep...anyone claiming pride was the only juiced org is ignorant to PED usage

He talked junk on Reem for meds and now his word is worth not much...unless it was "dick Pills"....sure bros

IMO both used in their "primes"...sea level cain was not natty IMO and kettle bell Fedor was suspect to me(hard to tell cause fedor stopped strength training)

of course those are just my opinions and I have no facts or dislike for those guys....bad mofos

Doping control only works that way round. It cannot work any other way.

I'm well read on the subject. It's not guilty before being innocent. It's, you cannot compete if you're under investigation for a positive. It's different.

I agree.

I'd argue the overwhelming majority of fighters are on something... including my favorites.

I've said this over and over again. Think about it. This is these men's lively hoods. One win/loss could make or break your career in a lot of cases. These dudes are fighting for hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars. You'd have to be ignorant to think that most fighters are natty. I'd say very very few are natural. even if one would prefer to be all natty, it's easy to convince yourself that everyone is on the juice, and the only way to level the playing field is to get on gear yourself. In fact, im sure that's how most would justify it.
