Almost, as was Ringo in his.
So why not swap as Kilmer looked more like Ringo & vice versa?
While ringo was great, he doesn't have the acting chops of kilmer.

When the actual band played with kilmer for the doors movie one of them was quoted as saying if he closed his eyes it felt and sounded like like they were playing with Morrison again.

Exactly. The closer a great actor looks like someone, the more they delve into the role.

Michael Biehn, as proved in Terminator, Tombstone, and The Abyss, is the greatest actor of our generation.
Although extremely memorable, even comical, real-life accounts reveal Doc Holiday as being nothing like his portrayal in Tombstone, nor did the accounts of Tombstone regarding Doc Holiday & Johnny Ringo even exist.

Western Scientists whose expertise is cowboys all agree Michael Biehn portrayal of Johnny Ringo was hands down more riveting a performance than Kilmer's of Holiday.

As quoted by Dr. Turnbuckle Longhorn, "Biehn's performance was other-worldly, and while certainly he could've played all the roles perfectly, most appropriate would've been Doc Holiday whom he resembled, quite obviously."

I nearly crashed my car the first time I saw a long horn. I was on the freeway and there was a bunch of them in a field next to it. I'd never seen not heard of them and thought it was dinosaurs

There's no such thing as dinosaurs.
Bones are just extinct creatures no more than a few thousand years old. Also they were docile creatures, and didn't even live in Scotland, so you have nothing to worry about regardless.

I think you mean Michael Rooker is the "greatest actor of our generation". But Michael Biehn is pretty darned great too.
