Saints just got fucked again on a bullshit call against the Rams.

Obvious fumble recovered by Saints and returned 80 yards for a TD...

BUT... The refs blew it dead as an incomplete pass. Review showed it was an obvious fumble and they reversed the call and ruled the Saints recovered, but that was at the 20 yard line. Basically an 80 yard call that took 6 pts off the board.
Just rotten.
Are refs really THAT concerned with possible injuries that they can't let the play run out, then let the replay determine the outcome?
BULLSHIT, AGAIN.
Saints got SCREWED.

Cooper Kupp with the play of the day! He broke about 6 tackles on that 67 yard TD. Awesome effort.

Edit. Down at the 1" line. Still awesome.

Sanders for DEN catches a TD with under 1 minut to go. 13-12 CHI leads.

DEN lines up to go for 2. Delay of game. They bring out the kicking team for the PAT.

CHI jumps offsides, ball moves back to the 1.

DEN goes for 2 and gets it. A quick hitter to Sanders.

DEN leads 14-13
24 seconds to go.

Why did they not review the catch and subsequent timeout called - looked like by the time he actually had his elbow/knees down the clock hit 0.

Also isnt the play considered Live until the player is touched by an opposing team, if you are the Denver Defensemen wouldn’t it have been better to let him catch the ball - lay there - let the clock run out then go in for the touch or tackle?

If the player downs himself on purpose it's the end of the play. Otherwise the defense can just stand there and watch the guy on the ground for 5 minutes. Haha.

But that was really close. I thought the time expired. The receiver took a couple steps and shouldn't have.

Also Peters tipping Smith’s helmet off by the face mask isn’t a penalty.

Question for you nfl nerds

Could you drop kick from the 2 on an extra point and if so, would that count as 1 or 2?

No. Any kicked try on a PAT is done from the 15. It can be a drop kick, but it's still only worth 1 pt.

that would be up to the officials & they decided not to. I agree & probably would have.

when a player gives himself up, he is immediately considered down & the clock stops.
