The Reds are in last place in the NL Central but only trail 1st place Milwaukee by 4.5 games.
The 1st-to-last place gap in that division is closer than any of the 1st to 2nd place gaps in all of MLB:
NYY * 6.5 games up on 2nd place TB
MIN * 7 games up on 2nd place CLE
HOU * 8 games up on 2nd place OAK
ATL * 5.5 games up on 2nd place PHI
LAD * 14 games up on 2nd place COL

Manny Ramirez is still getting paid by the Red Sox.
But still.. Bonilla managing to get the Mets to commit to over a mill a year for 25 years instead of them having to give him $5.9 once is just bonkers.

This time Arrieta hit Frazier with 1 out in the 5th when the Phillies were up 4-3. It looked to be a change up and it got him in the elbow. Probably not intentional in that situation, but Frazier was heated - likely because of the recent history between the two teams. Frazier must have said some magic words because he was ejected from the game.

Both benches were warned and Arrieta remained in the game. The next batter hit a double, and Arrieta hit Rasario on 1-2 count. Again it looked to be a change up.

Mets manager Mickey Calloway was ejected for losing his shit when Arrieta wasn't ejected even after being warned just 2 batters prior. I'm sure the umps take was that it wasn't intentional - which I'm sure it wasn't in that situation - but I can't blame Calloway for going bonkers given the tension between these two teams.
Arrieta was unapologetic after the game. “If Frazier’s not happy about it he can come see me,” Arrieta said. “I’ll put a dent in his skull.”
