the climate changing due to humans... people are all worried, air is getting bad, supposedly hotter, ice melting, etc...

i'm saying who cares about all that when natural disaster comes along and just wipes all of us out anyway (not saying this dust storm but shit in general, like meteors, earthquakes, tornadoes, tsunamis, hurricanes, and so on). nobody can stop that
The man made shit impacts and influences the natural disasters. #science

Weird post.

Humans do a lot to be safe from disasters, like building in a special way, trying to predict them, contingency plans etc.

Also to kinda bring this attitude down to a human level:
Do you not do anything to improve your health or prevent harm under any circumstances? Ever go a doctor? Trying to be fit? Trying not to eat like shit?
Because you will die anyway some day. Nobody can stop that. So why care about all that, right?
Are you wearing a seat belt in a car?

Maybe I worded differently but my point was more about when natural disaster hits, there’s nothing we can do. I never said stop “living”.

We try to clean up the environment and do all that, (which is great) but tomorrow a fuckin meteor comes and hits the Earth and blows away half of it away, kill millions in a instance. All that climate concern would be for nothing~

I’m saying there is really no point on trying to do that if you consider How the natural disaster over powers anything man would build to try to prevent the Earth from being damaged

Your argument doesn’t make sense, if you take care of your body, your overall body feels better, so it’s more about if you want to feel healthy or not in a instance. Comparing that to climate, which takes years and years to have an effect on, is not a good comparison.

And natural disasters happen Out of the blue Regardless if you take good care or not, whereas your body is good as long as you take care of it.

Yeah and no matter how much you take care of yourself, tomorrow a car can hit you and it's all over. Is that a reason not to take care of yourself?
It really is the same kind of principle.

It makes perfect sense. Of course in a larger timeframe. If you eat like shit and do no exercise for 10 years, and then you change that, you will not be a fitness model in just 1 week. This is not in an instant either.

And if lightning hits you it's prolly over for you no matter if you took care of your body or not.
It really is very fitting.

taking care of human body is not as hard as trying to change the climate, literally need waaaay less logistics and just a cooperation of yourself, not the entire world

Aye very true.
But we've come a little way from "it makes no sense" to "its difficult to do".
Even though, if everybody tries a little bit, that helps.

Main difference really is, the one thing you do for yourself, the other thing you do for others.
And let's face it, it's way easier to motivate oneself for self-serving matters, than it is for altruistic reasons.

you do have a point but the difference in scale, makes it incomparable

like the gun death and car accident comparison is more fitting than this
