Verstappen got a good start.

Perez closed up on Leclerc, and breezed past on the straight with DRS.

The Red Bulls are going to stroll off to a 1-2 again, let's see if the battle for 3rd and down is exciting to watch.

Stroll clipped the wall on the inside of a bend, broke the steering and crashed into the barrier on the outside.

His radio communication:

Stroll: "I hit the wall."

Engineer: "Copy that, can you nurse it back?"

Stroll: "No, I'm in the fucking wall!"

Lol.

NASCAR is at Phoenix today. Flag drops at 3:30 EST on FOX.

Denny Hamlin got the pole at 27.138 (132.655 mph)

Phoenix is a 1 mile tri-oval.

Betting favorites (DraftKings) are Hamlin and Christopher Bell; both at +550

I have my eye on Ryan Blaney. In the last 6 races he's never finished outside of the top 10 and has (5) top 5's. FInished 2nd the last 3 races there. He obviously likes the track and he's off to a strong start this season.
He's starting 16th today and DK has him at +750 to win.

I also like Larson here (Last 6 starts he has (3) T5). Larson starts 17th and is +850

Be sure to check multiple sportsbooks if you are betting NASCAR. Some of the spreads are crazy.

For example, to win - Ross Chastain's odds are:
+850 @ FanDuel
+1100 @ DraftKings

Vegas got it right.
Bell took the checkered.

Buescher, Gibbs, Keselowski and Blaney round out the Top 5.

Chastain took 6th.

fair enough. i like racing.

COTA was a pretty uneventful race yesterday. That's all i wanted to say :p
The F1 race on Sunday from Australia somehow managed not to be very exciting, despite Max Verstappen's car breaking down, Lewis Hamilton's engine grenading and George Russell crashing out on the final lap after being brake tested by Fernando Alonso.

It was at least good to see Sainz get the win for Ferrari.

I hate NASCAR road races. The cars are too big and heavy for that shit. After 3 solid days of watching basketball and slamming beers, I pretty much slept through the entire race.

So I guess it sort of worked out because I definitely needed to catch up on my zzz's.

Did Russell get all pissed off? He looks like a 12 year old boy. That would have been funny.
