3G/4G mobile Internet access speeds.

So. I'm stuck in lovely Laos for a while.

However, I'm not unimpressed by the mobile Internet connections...

Less than 70 US cents per day gets me 4Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload, with 1GB of data. That's US$ 20 a month for 30GB of data, if I subscribe to the daily package. If I go with the monthly package I get unlimited 4G - 10/10 Mbps speeds for US$33.

This is one of the least developed countries in the world, and yet they can offer these packages and speeds.

So what are everyone else's data packages costing?

USA telecom companies keep the monopoly going and rape you with crazy prices for a few gb of data. Same deal with isp's. Got verizon and pay ~$40 a motnh for phone and 5gb 4g data. I usually use wifi

I'm paying 150 a month for three lines and 30 gigabytes of data on AT&T. It's plenty, and I'm in an area that gets high speeds. But I get what you're saying about developing countries reminding us how bad our plans are. I spent some amount of time in Thailand and him impressed that you have great 3G coverage throughout almost the entire country. And the cost or so so cheap, and you can top off at any 7-eleven.

Im in BC and use Telus. I pay about $140 a month for a 10gb plan. No complaints with the coverage and I work in other provinces but it shouldn't cost as much.

With Bell and I pay $75 for unlimited phone & Text with 6gb of data. Pretty good deal nowadays and I never am going to change my plan, even if it means buying new phones unlocked from Apple then activating it myself.
