Lantana resident Katherine Gaydos' left eye is completely glued shut because of an extremely unfortunate mixup with eye drops and super glue.
We should point out that it's been like this for a week.
Gaydos, who's a mother of two, told WPBF a neighbor was using a leaf blower when a piece of debris flew into her eye. "Something blew into my eye. I screamed for someone else to get eye drops out of my purse, and they brought super glue and poured it in my eye," said Gaylos. "I closed my eye and screamed and called 911."
According to WPBF, Gaydos was scheduled to have a doctor operate on her eye but had the treatment postponed because she couldn't pay for it. "He was talking about doing surgery to try and save my eye, but now I don't know what to do — I don't have a job, no insurance or any money."
Update:Fox59 is now reporting that Gaydos is having a procedure done to scape the glue from her cornea on Friday, Oct. 9 and that she should not have any permanent damage.
