It's crazy to me they'd launch that so close to a commercial plane.
That was my first thought, but flight traffic is weaved FAR tighter.
It's really quite far.
They had to calculate the chance of it exploding & hitting the plane as astronomical.
Like the chances of going to a Disneyland fireworks show & getting hit by one of the fireworks.
It looks like it's right there/exciting, but with near zero chance of interaction.

It's not the path that would concern me, it's the speed.

The thing with rockets is when launches go wrong, they go really, really wrong really, really fast.
