Al Iaquinta will undergo knee surgery after all.

The lightweight out of Long Island's Serra-Longo gym wavered on whether to go under the knife ever since he was sidelined over the summer due to lingering right knee issues.

But MMAFighting.com's Ariel Helwani reported on Wednesday's edition of UFC Tonight that since the stem-cell injection treatments Iaqunita has received over the past couple months haven't done the trick, he'll go ahead and get the surgery done.

Iaquinta, who has what's been described as very little cartilage left in his knee, will have a cadaver's cartilage implanted behind his knee cap. He hopes to return to action in 6-8 months.

Damn. I suspect all the top 10 lightweights are texting each other in a group chat right now celebrating. They will get theirs soon enough. Let's not forget Al putting the entire division on notice with his mauling of Masvidal. Ran him right out of the division. Smart move on his part. Good bet teamquestnorth @teamquestnorth ya filthy lil gabagool.
