I ordered something for my son last night at about 8pm. Just got delivered (1pm next day). Prime delivery is usually pretty quick in Austin, depending on the items. I think one of their big distribution warehouses is just south of town.
Living near a distribution center is key, I've found.

Not really, you just have to fall under a certain revenue threshold. Bezos don't give a fuck if you're a nice guy.
They use all kinds of information like your location as well.

Couple years back I moved into an area that was pretty nice but the neighborhood in itself must have had some people with bad credit scores or some other bad factors I assume.
While my credit score was and is perfect, all of the sudden Amazon did not accept direct debit or bill anymore, had to use a credit card.

Then I moved into a much worse area for about a year, and weirdly they accepted everything as payment again.

Now I'm in a nice area again and all is peachy.
Still, this is some bullshit discriminatory algorithm.
I don't really order a lot tho.
