Let's be honest, processed food is the cheapest and what a majority of people can afford. I did a comparison years ago with a large Honey Crisp apple. It was 1.49 for one apple. You have three kids, you gonna buy them an apple to share or a tube of pringles for the same price. Obviously chicken, beans and rice are cheap but when hamburger is almost 4 bucks a pound and the fact that most people don't know how to cook anymore. This is what you end up with.

It's lazy, imo. What else does she have to do? She's clearly on maternity leave. Can't boil a pot? Use your screen time for something useful and learn a recipe.

Every single one of those dinners are once a week snacks not meals. They're also kinda expensive nowadays. That pack of hot pockets is 7-9 bucks depending on where you are.

Agreed. We grew up eating like this. I didn't know any better until I was in my 20s.

I had a neighbor buddy of mine who grew up like that with his single ma. Stay at home mom, too. Both him and his brother are fat shits and one of them who is not much older than me was fighting to stay alive a few years ago. Ironically, he's a chef.

This is why we need an RFK type figure to flip this shit around. People don't know any better. People lack access. Both scenarios should be unacceptable for a county like ours.

We will never have affordable healthcare without something done about these belugas. It makes no sense for something that comes straight from the ground to be the same cost as something processed 10 times over.

BTW, none of this shit even fills you up. That's why these walruses eat 6 times a day. Its an addiction problem. That's why McDonald's gives you cheese, no double cheese on your burgers and sugar on your fries, free of charge.

Again though it is what people grew up with and know. A majority of the public knows nothing about cooking unless it comes out of a box or needs to be microwaved. It's not being lazy, they know no other way. There is no home economics taught in the schools since the early 90's.

Even me as a child growing up in the 70's/ 80's, the economy went from dad only working to a two income family where it was either grabbing fast food on the way home or what can we dump out of a box quickly for dinner. That's why there was a huge explosion of fast food locations in the 70's/80's.

Full sit down meals were reserved for Sunday dinner.

I had McDonald's this past weekend and dropped about a 12lb shit within an hour.
