Anderson Silva blamed a tainted sexual enhancement drug a friend gave him for a positive test for the steroid drostanolone earlier this year when he foughtNick Diaz, and Michael Bisping already fired his first shots leading up to their middleweight clash in London.
Silva and Bisping will headline a UFC Fight Night card on Feb. 27, and Bisping asked the Brazilian to "leave the viagra out of it" for their bout. "The Spider", who also failed a test for oxazepam and temazepam, responded to Bisping’s verbal jabs during a conference call Tuesday.
"I don’t have to prove absolutely anything to Bisping or anyone else besides myself," Silva said. "I never needed any illegal substance, steroid or anything like that. I made a mistake, and everyone can make mistakes. I never tested positive before. I was questioned by the commissioner, and he was arrogant and ironic by asking me if I had ever been randomly tested before. I said no, because I never had any problems with doping and I never used it. My body is the same ever since I started fighting until now."
