Ankalaev: Alex Pereira, you are a liar

32-year-old Russian mixed martial artist, light heavyweight Magomed Ankalaev responded to the accusations of Brazilian current UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira that he avoided their fight.

"Alex, you are a liar. You claimed that I refused to fight you. Dana White and Mick Maynard never offered me to fight you. After I sort out my affairs, I will make you answer for your words," Ankalaev wrote on his page on social networks.

By "sort out my affairs" he is referring to fucking a couple goats and maybe stabbing some white Christian Russians.

I hope Perreira kills him in the ring. No offense!

Doesnt seem particularly logical that Ank would be avoiding Pereira. He has less to lose and more to gain in that fight and on paper has the tools to get the job done. Its much more likely the UFC doesnt want arguably their biggest active current star to get derailed by a generic Dagestani dude. The Rountree fight makes sense for the UFC because its guaranteed fireworks, a stylistically favourable fight for Poatan and even if he gets banana skinned it means the new champ is a fairly marketable American striker.
