Recently snagged some DT1770s. Paired them up with a Bottlehead Crack amp plus Speedball upgrade kit and a Modi 2 Uber DAC. Loving the combo so far. Have a large HiFi library, but also have a sub to Tidal for even more HiFi streaming.

Next purchase is going to be a MacIntosh setup for vinyls.

I’m sure there’s something I’m missing here, bit I don’t that poster enough to catch the inside joke.
he means different type of phile(that is my guess)

Love me some good music and a good system to play it thru is top priority to me

I buy so much amazing stereo equipment from estate sales, that some is stacked in a outbuilding...I rotate stuff thru and try different combinations, I like all types of music also so I try all types thru setups.

I really like good quality audio, alas I know nothing about it nor the headphones you mentioned. Don't buy ones from doctor Dre tho they are a rip-off

So the Tidal streaming service has a "Master" setting for the desktop app and it's absolute sex in the ears with this setup.

I find this amusing. My father was a pilot, and I still have a pair of his in flight headphones from the late 80's.

Then as time went on, ear phones got smaller and smaller. But now they seem to just be getting bigger now.

Quality headphones have stayed roughly the same size as the drivers haven't really gotten any smaller. You've got smaller ones, but they sacrifice a lot of quality for a smaller profile... i.e. Beats. Even the high-end smaller profile cans lack a nice soundstage.

No, but I like a quality over the ear set a headphones. I recently busted my mdr 7506's. I'm looking to go wireless. Would the mdr 100Abn be a good choice?

I love me some silver dial era receivers
I buy and sell them when I run across a good deal

Sold a Sony quadraphonic receiver for 500 + shipping to some guy in the UK last year
bought it for 40 bucks

My main receiver is a Tandberg 2080...very classic high end unit from the 70s...retailed for a shit ton...very well made stuff...Din plugs are the only downfall, need custom cables and whatnot

Just bought a pair of those 7506's for 5 bucks at a garage sale thursday...very good for a low end studio monitor headphone
