Oh and the girl who won the women's final, Sofia Kenin, despite being from the same county as me, is one of the reasons why women's tennis sucks nowadays.

She's the 8th first-time major winner in the last 12 grand slams.

Individual sports needs stars.

Who do you think ends up with the most career grand slam titles when it's all said and done - Djokovic or Nadal?
It's tough. It's tempting to say Djoker. He's a year younger than Nadal, has had far less injuries and has a style of game that shouldn't be as quickly ravaged by age. Nadal only has clay as Djoker is the superior player on the other surfaces at this point.

On the other hand, tennis drug testing is a joke, so Rafa could easily pull a Manny Pacquaio and stay on the gear to still have the athleticism of a 20-year-old. Rafa's French dominance also gives him more tournaments that are in the bag. If he wins at least two more of them, which you would think he will, then that means he effectively has 4 in the bank on Djokovic. There's no guarantee that either player will pull a Federer, and could very quickly fall off a cliff.

So I'm going with Rafa. I think the two-slam buffer and the likelihood of future French victories will carry him across the line.

Rafa is going to lose the rest of his hair and be humiliated into retirement. He will not be heard from again.

when I was young I was legitimately in the top ten in my country. But no one cares what you do or accomplish when you are twelve

Yeah it takes more than just talent to be great at tennis. You've gotta have heart, too. Nick Kyrgios is proof of that.
I had skills I just hated the sport. The first time my parents pushed me to try it, the trainer said that I had talent and he asked if I wanted to train. I was a shy kid and I didnt like to say no to people so I said yes. Oh boy if I could take it back. Years of my life wasted

Q @Qat I'm bumping this so we can stop shitting up the NBA thread.

Also Rafa returns this week at the Italian Open so tennis will be exciting again (for me).
Yeah Thiem seems to be a very hard worker and has more experience on this stage. Zverev seems more gifted, but he worked hard as well recently.
Let's hope it will be a great match. The semi of Zverev was a real thriller.
