Got the wife a car, still hunting for myself. Landed a site manager position today, start next Wednesday. Turns out the owners wife is from Calgary, the interview was more bullshitting than business. Comes with a decent salary to start, +vehicle, gas card and phone.
Living with the in-laws has its pros and cons. Kids catching a bug really buggered us up for a week. We haven't been exposed to NZ germs so it kinda lingered, painfully.
Really starting to miss my stuff and having our own place.
Oldest boy starts soccer tomorrow, and im back to work next week will be good for us getting back into a routine.
What's the timeline on the new place?
Our stuff has arrived in NZ at 5pm today!!
Scheduled for inspection, hopefully that goes smooth and quick. Afterwards loaded onto another ship, destination Lyttleton, then trucked down to Christchurch.
Not sure I've ever missed something as much as I've missed my things and stuff!

I used to have exceptional penmanship, now it looks like shit. Not sure a I can even write cursive anymore. Maybe it's a dying medium. The only time I find myself writing shit out by hand is safety forms, which i rush through. I've struggled with arthritis and carpal tunnel which doesnt help...

What a fucking ride.
Tonight will be the first night the wife & I have slept in our own bed since June 17th. House needs a fresh coat of paint, but plenty of floor sauce and a massive yard.
Got moved in today. Beds assembled, boys have been running laps around the new pad, excited to sleep in their own beds, have their own rooms.
TV is mounted, I'm done for the day.
