So, I've wanted to do this for a long time.. I think it could really be interesting. A lot of my older family members would like this too, and it'd be great if it delivered.

However, I've never done anything like it and have to wonder how much information would be available and how far back it'd go. After only 2 generations, my ancestry lies in pretty rural parts of Crete.. Small mountain villages and shit, that still don't have internet today. It's hard to find out about our history from all the way here in the US. If there actually is info available on one of these sites, it'd be fucking amazing!

So, anyone able to share experiences? What site did you use.. something like Ancestors.com or whatever?

What kind of info did you get? Public birth records or more? Family trees or something? Photos even?

Looking forward to hearing what might be possible. Thanks and hope for some feedback

I don't think my great grandparents have birth certificates, all I know is the "Zacatecas" state where I come from was settled by Germans, Spaniards and Caxcan indians ,My grandma was blonde with green eyes from Jalisco and grandpa looked like John Redcorn

No chance of they aren't on record and enrolled in a tribe. Anyways, not many tribes give money to members from casino revenue.
