Or any entering rivers?
I'm thinking it may be the cleanest fish in North America, but that's a gut feeling.
Any experience?

I've fished the Ohio.
Which enters the Mississippi
Which enters The Gulf
Which enters the Atlantic

I would not call the fish "clean"
Huge fucking catfish though.

Now the tributaries heading into the Ohio - mainly the Whitwater, Little Miami and Miami around these parts - those fish are "clean them on the riverbank and cook them up". Mostly bass.

I stay away from Kentucky's Licking River. It flows North and I don't trust that shit.

I've fished Lake Erie. It was by Cleveland though. Pretty gross.

HB ices over???
That's a pretty damn big bay...
It's in Canada, bro.
Their fire turns to ice in the winter.

Note - I have no idea if the Hudson Bay actually freezes over.

i used to fish the ponds that my grandpa built on his property with his bulldozer.
He had some guys from the Conservation Dept come in and recommend stocking species and levels.

After he passed, Pheasants Forever bought his farm and turned it in to a nature preserve.

so i'm gonna go with those fish are about the cleanest fish in North America.
