Curious to see how many people are in a part of the ownership class. If so, what do you do and how many people are in your employ?

Also, did you start the business or take it over from someone else? I am curious now

I own a construction company. Me and a business partner.

We do our own works and use sub contractors also.

So 3 question for all business owners. Over the last 5 years on average:

1) Have you frequently turned a profit?
2) What percentage of your pre-tax profits went to your labor (including benefits and healthcare)?
3) What percentage of your profits go to taxes and other regulatory expenses (e.g. permits, compliance, etc)?

I'm asking all of this because I'm interested in understanding the perspective of small business owners in today's economy.
