I've been suspecting a family member of being into meth for awhile. She has the look and behaves kind of in a tweakerish way. Her life has started to fall apart pretty significantly over the past year or two and her behavior is getting more and more erratic, especially as regards her kids.

The other day she posted this on Facebook:



Now she could be talking about some form of kobe beef I'm not familiar with for all I know, but it looked suspect and google told me N-isopropylbenzylamine is used for cutting meth. Anyone know enough about this stuff or watch enough Breaking Bad to interpret this?

ISO is used frequently as "in search of".

But in this case she might be ISO someone to do a select cut on some ISO so IDK

Iso can also be used to extract cannabis extracts
99% iso is also used to clean plane parts as we build the plan too but the comment isn't about that lol

The "select cut" comment kind of rules out cannabis extracs though and the first thought that comes to mind with that comment is meth

Isopropyl is not known as iso officially.it is known as IPA for isopropyl alcohol

Also this n-isopropyl benzylamine is nothing like isopropyl.a lot of chemicals have like sounding names only to be very different

I don't think she's looking for that chemical. Think she is truly in search of... Someone to cut some drugs.

Has she lost a lot of weight in a short time? Have sores on her face, or losing teeth? Those are all definitive signs of meth.

I've never seen ISO used for Isopropyl in that context.
Sounds like she got some really good stuff and is looking for a good cutter to me.

Just had a thought that it could also be a hunting reference, e.g. select cut of deer. She does live in a big hunting area.

at least i got to post my sodium hydroxide/ sodium hypochlorite crystal shards .i made some great ones out of poly acrylic acid and tetra potassium phosphate on accident but i dont have the pics in my phone
