Hey, anyone on the board into Hold Em at all? Ive been playing since I was a kid, but in the last 6 months or so I really got into it. I've been using this app called Zynga and it's pretty great. Was just wondering if anyone on the board is on there also (it's a pretty large app user wise) and would wanna play together sometime.

If not, who else plays in real life? Any tips/strategy discussion you might have?

I love it. I play on the Droid Hen app. I haven't tried Zynga. I play low tables at real casinos because as much as I love playing, I suck at it. Lol

Haha, yeah I've never played above a $4/$8 table at a casino. I've done a few winner take all games there where you buy in or whatever but mostly I stick to the low tables. The only downside is that there is a limit, you can't go all in.

I prefer playing with friends when possible but the casino near me is cool because if you go in the afternoon, it's mostly old ass dudes playing who aren't that good. Lol

I tried a few apps before Zynga and found it to be the best of the ones I've tried, but I will check that one out too. Is it free?

Yes it's free.

When we go, we spend a few days. I like to get upand go play about 5am and drink bloody Mary's until breakfast. Nap and repeat. Until I'm broke. Lol

I've played in casino tournaments. Only won any money when the cards were favorable. You don't want my tips

Haha, I'm not much of a bluff guy either honestly. Maybe if I'm in a certain situation and can recognize a guy's pattern of checking and betting, but definitely not at a high stake with no hand that often, if ever.

Not as much as I used to, and not as much as I'd like to.

Wouldn't mind playing a small tourney at the casino I just never have the time.

I liked to play a long time ago but haven't played in many years. Ever since Black Friday (Feds cracked down on internet poker) I've realized there were far fewer rookie players and way less edge for me.

There used to be 2-3 spewy, overly aggressive players at the table but it turned into a table full of guys looking to make a profession out of it. I have better chances of winning money on the blackjack tables now a days.

That was the biggest reason I fell out of it for years. I loved it as a teenager and in my early 20s but until maybe March when i decided to try an app out, I had totally lost interest. It was the same thing against the same people all the time. I had never played online before until early this year. That's what brought me back in, the ability to play with tons of different people at various stakes/skill levels.

And to the poster above this one, that shit drives me crazy also. When people just bet huge amounts every hand despite having nothing, in an attempt to force people to fold. One thing I like about the app I play on, Zynga, is it shows you the player's winning percentage. So, if someone has something ridiculous like 42%, you know more than likely they are bluffing constantly. So if you play them right you can get their shit pretty easy.

I will get together with friends and play it a couple times a year. Small stakes stuff. Usually it's 18 or so guys, $100 entry, winner take all.

I don't play in tournaments or casinos though.
