Big fan of both, but I just don't see how Cowboy can win this fight. Robbie will be the bigger guy, hit harder, I don't see Cowboy getting the fight to the mat, I just don't see how he wins.

War both guys.

I don't really which makes me think he probably will because each time I think no way is that possible, bang - down he goes.

Of course he can lose, especially seeing as his chin is likely shot. No human can endure the streak of Hendricks (first fight), Rory and Condit wars capped off with a 1 punch Woodley KO and be the same, it's just not happening.

But that said, it's not like Cowboy hasn't suffered massive abuse in his career himself and his biggest vulnerability is something Lawler excels at. Lawler by body shots.

the only way I see it happening is if Cerrone is able to land a head kick that puts Robbie down.

It could sure, is it likely? No damn way. Robbie is an intimidating pressure fighter and that's Cerrones kryptonite.

When's the last time we saw Robbie fight with big pressure early? His ability to now pace himself has brought him much better success than the stand and wang we all love him for.

I'm a big fan of both guys but I think Cerrone has a much better chance than most are giving him. I'm skeptical of Lawler tbh. He had a late career resurgence which was very impressive but he sort of disappeared for a bit, then lost via brutal KO and he's pushing the later years of his career. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cowboy win.

If he can land that switch kick while Robbie is loading up a hook...i could see Robbie landing a liver shot and dropping cowboy violently, being more likely the case though!

I think if cowboy fights smart he can pick Robbie apart and slow him down.

Not sure it will happen tho

It's a big fight and that's when cowboy tends to fluff it

He keeps constantly coming forward and makes his hits count. Donald is a generally a slow starter likes it when he's relaxed, in control and is dictating the fight. I do not believe Ronnie will give him that opportunity. If he's mean and intimidating towards cowboy leading up to the fight (likely not to happen but he should, it's been proven to work) it will greatly increase his chance of winning.

I know that feeling.

I'm really not sure what to expect from Robbie. Have we seen a dominant performance from him since the USADA era began? Two years ago I would easily call this Robbie by KO. Now I don't know what to expect.

I think we agree that if Lawler comes out aggressive that's his best chance, this is due to Cowboy being a slow starter. Having said that I think Robbie's come back tour may be done. Not saying he's ready to retire but I'm doubtful he can put on a performance like he did against Rory or Hendricks again. He had that weird high T thing after the Rory Mac fight then cancelled his next bout shortly after IIRC. I think something's up with him just not sure what. Could be one too many wars, could be USADA.

Again I'm not saying Cerrone will beat him just that he has a better chance than most are giving him imo.
