We have become a PC Society. There isn't to much you could say to me personally that would have me swinging for the bleachers

It's weird because the web has desensitised us to horrific images and trolling opinions yet has given people this channel to complain about the smallest thing which turns into a mob mentally, in turn, making hard working people apologise for actions which are trivial at best. It's an odd fucking world we live in.

I'm not one that gets offended easily at all, but putting shower/misters in at Auschwitz is incredibly insensitive imo. It is a such a historical place with so much meaning...I just can't see why they would even think about doing this. I can't imagine how upsetting that might be to Jewish folk that may have had relatives go thru that. In this particular case, I think the outrage is justified and should be remedied. I doubt anyone will die of heatstroke without the showers there.

Who in the fuck just needs to go see the place where a bunch of humans were murdered in cold blood?

Huh. Don't you go to horrific historical places like that to imagine what it was like to the victims? The people that were 'horrified' at the misting stations basically got what they came for.

"Are humans too easily offended?"

yes and it is so funny. and they only get offended when it affects them. we live in an age of intolerance.

Disney does have misters like most theme parks, they are like tiny shower heads spraying you with liquid

Almost nothing offends me these days (verbally). I get most pissed off at people spouting things as fact when they have no knowledge in that area or people refusing to change their mind when presented with evidence but I wouldn't say it is offensive.

I damn sure don't get offended reading stuff online it seems to have an impersonal touch that makes it hard to sink in compared to someone saying something irl.

I think it is important to have these places as a reminder to hopefully prevent atrocities like this happening in the future.
I think you tear the fucking place down. It represents some of the worst that humanity will inflict on one another. The history books tell the story very, very well, and you can memorialize the victims with just that, a memorial. Keeping the building there and offering tours is just morbid. I also think it'd be weird to offer people the chance to visit genuine lynching trees or spend a day in the life of a Jeffrey Dahmer victim.
