Click the "add images" button below the text box for your post.You can then search for the photo you want. Then click "upload" And then "insert"

The threads you don't want to see just use the mark as read button.

Sorry, most things can be found somewhere under your profile at the top right of the screen, clicking your avatar pic up there.
From there you click your news feed and see all your watched threads in one place...

News feed:

Clicking on watched threads shows this:

You can stop watching threads you reply to and just do it manually as well in your settings:
https://themmacommunity.com/account/preferences
