Someone working for Atlanta PD obviously was watching dancing nurse TikTok videos, then ran to HR saying, "I have this great idea..."

Fuck going to or driving through Atlanta....I would feel safer dealing with Mexican police.
I have to go to Atlanta on a semi-regular basis for friends, family, and work. I don't ever feel unsafe, but I hate that area of Georgia with damn near every fiber of my being. The amount of dumb shit I see every time I go down there bottles the mind. We need to nuke that area into bolivian.

I love North Georgia and other parts of the state, but fuck Atlanta.

Are there no PT standards?
Once you get out of the academy, no. Unions fight against them. A lot of departments offer cash incentives though. We would get a 1000 dollar bonus if we took it yearly and scored in the 90th percentile of the cooper standards.

Aside from layovers at the airport (which was almost always under construction & dirty), I've only been through Atlanta once. I was taking a bus across country to go back to my sophomore year in college.

On the plus side, I went through in 1996 right after the Olympics ended, and all the signs and posters and other Olympics stuff was still up around the city. That was pretty cool.

On the negative side, I also went through the same bus station that had the big bomb scare during the Olympics (I went through there maybe a week after it happened? Not long.) And because the station was such a clusterfuck, they lost my bag.

I didn't even know losing your bag on a bus was even a thing. I thought the airlines had a monopoly on that, but apparently not.

I was in Atlanta once, never again
Same - I remember driving through about 12 years ago - the highways were lawless....no license plates and people driving like it's Mad Max.

Then Mike Brown happened and my home city looks exactly the fucking same....swirling down the shitter because of black politicians. They're gone now and we have a chance to bounce back somewhat....cops are already making their presence felt in the city/county limits thank fucking god.

OP's vid is cringe, but not super cringe. The song is actually not bad. Good for them for having a little fun.

We had our yearly corporate retreat there, it was right down town. I remember taking the train from the airport, all I smelled was urine and it got worse from there. We were walking to a restaurant for dinner and got approached by a bum. He asked one of the guys in our group for a dollar, he said sorry I only have hundreds. I looked at him and said are you fucking stupid?
