Poiupoiu @Poiupoiu is camping popular in China? If so what's the go to camping spot?
i never ever heard any chinese ever mention camping, but they do sell tents at the big sporting goods shops.

in macau, sometimes filipinos would overnight camp at the beach. just an excuse for all night drinking

spent most of saturday out running errands. i decided i would count how many people pull up their masks or cover their face when they see a white guy coming.

i hit 10 before lunch, and stopped counting.

theres been a rash of a few new out breaks near my city, but most have been in the quarantine hotel.

90% of the case are in the mandatory quarantine hotels.

everyone (chinese, diplomats, crew, foriegners , etc..) entering china have to quarantine at a controlled hotel.

the new cases in the wild are thought to be from chinese illegally crossing the boarder from india.

but im the foreigner, so pull up mask

Are you vaccinated? Do you know the process to get vaccinated if you're not? Like availability?

this fried bread is pretty popular, youtiao, but it is not sweet.

i like jook, its rice congee, but i only like the version with lots of meats and spices. some are super plain.

Yea I was in town yesterday and saw a Chinese place I hadn't seen before. After inspecting the menu it was apparent it was a Chinese dessert place. Which was unusual to me. But also made me wonder what they have for breakfast.
