General Average day in China

I went to China back in 1996 and saw it in its embryonic stage of what it is now. There was construction everywhere and a lot of urban development going on. My friends from there tell me it's unrecognizable now and photos confirm it. It did smell awful though in Beijing and Shanghai so if it still smells, it's nice to know some things remain from that time.
A thing that someone could buy for 3 usd in the US, I could buy two of them in China for 3 usd. So that's a 6 usd meal in the US but it value to me is about 1.50 usd. Yes I get paid more

Very little outright thievery in china. Shops unattended, produce left outside restaurant s in the morning.
To order you have to use mcdos app, wechat mcdos plugin, or this kiosk. Haven't figured out how to change the first 2 options to English. Kiosk has easy way, then pay by scanning you pay method on phone.
