I don't understand why people are afraid of snakes and spiders. Neither should be kept as pets, but most of them are great creatures.

Maybe because they are extremely poisonous, UT. I like that they eat bugs and vermin around my stacks and I wouldn't fuckin smash them if they hadn't bit me before.

But they aren't poisonous, they're venomous. And it's not all of them, just some of them. Even then, the likelihood of them biting you, if you just leave them alone, is miniscule. Why were you molesting them?

There were a shit-ton of black widows around my house when I lived in Tennessee. I think I've only seen 1 in the garage since I moved back to SC over a decade ago. We had camel crickets all over the place in TN, too. I finally saw one here, earlier this year. Camel crickets are assholes because they jump like 3-4 feet.

We only have garter and bull snakes here though sometimes rattlers are seen in the far south part of the state.

Bull snakes are pretty cool to see.
