Well, news stories happen continually, and the NTSB typically take a couple of years to produce a full report. Once the initial reporting and speculation had occurred, the only newsworthy moments were 1) the ship being pulled clear, 2) the debris being cleared to the point that ships could pass, and 3) the preliminary NTSB findings being released.
When the media is desperately competing for clicks and views, headlines like "No new facts available regarding Baltimore bridge collapse" aren't going to get that sweet ad revenue, are they?
It'll probably be something like this time next year that the NTSB report will be released, and I'd expect a flurry of media attention once again.

No, we haven't seen anything.
Of course 15 seconds after it happened Joe Biden let us know that it couldn't possibly be a terrorist attack. So I sleep well.
