I went a few years ago. I'm not trying to be a Debbie downer but.... I won't be going back. It was pretty poor and run down. People were nice though. Best place is probably the southern coast. There is a beach that is hidden and hard to get to that is the best thing about the island. It made a bunch of top ten lists. It's near the retired concord airplane.
I've traveled a lot so I am also comparing it to many other places. Most of the Caribbean islands are like a reverse apple pie: all the good stuff is on the crust (coast/beaches). Funny story: I had on a pair of cammoflage cargo pants when I flew in. They made me change and told me that cammoflage is ILLEGAL to wear in their country.
