You live in the midwest, where bars serve beer in plastic cupsI always have them reuse the same glass. Its especially important for whiskey drinks as the ice gets seasoned. For beer I dont like the frost from the glass watering down my beer so I have them reuse the same glass. Plus during happy hour when beer is cheaper they like to switch out your pint glass with one similar but few ounces shorter.
I am not a child so the beer doesnt have a chance to get warm.
bartenders will at least run it in one of those power water spray things here at dive bars to rinse them if you get the same cup which I don't think I have ever seen and I have been to A TON of bars and drank A TON of beer hence the A.A.I have never been asked this by a bartender or server. They always bring me a new, chilled glass.
Then again I don't frequent hobo bars...
