Repórter diz que Belfort tem mais testosterona que Weidman e deixa campeão chocado - ESPN.com.br
I just saw this on some forums. It's in Portuguese, but here's the rough translation

"When they told weidman about his T levels, he said "really? i'm 30 years old and how old is he? Tests vary a lot. I did a medic exam (?) 3 years ago, that was the first time that i have done, and my testosterone was aroudn 300. How am I capable of doing something, how am I training? But i was in training camp. A year later I did an exam again and it was normal. I was normal. So I think it varies a lot"

Then weidman was informed about Belfort's levels, "When?". Journalist: "I think in April"

"Is this legal?". Journalist: "Yeah. I asked the Commission if they had did another test to detect synthetic testosterone, but I'm still waiting the answer"

When Weidman heard that, he said: "Go there and say to him what you heard" [confusing part? i think he was asking to say belfort's test levels to vitor]. Then weidman proceeds: ""How do you go from low to 1200?" This is breaking news! But i don't care, I'm gonna kick his ass anyway. But this is a breaking news!"

Then, Belfort was asked about that and he said "the results were all released, it's all within the normal range. I was tested a lot of times. I have hypogonadism, that makes me produce less hormones. It's a medical condition."

2014 Feb 1st 2014 - 855.82 ng/dL. Feb 7th 2014 - 1,472 ng/dL [This caused the TRT ban] March 2014 - 201.45 ng/dL April 2014 - 165 ng/dL May 2014 - 142 ng/dL

2015 March 2015 - 1200 ng/dL April 2015 - 500 ng/dL
This is a post from /r/MMA. Can anyone explain those levels, if they are true?

Most professionals consider "normal" range to be 300-1200 ng/dL.

Feb 1st 2014 - 855.82 ng/dL. Normal
Feb 7th 2014 - 1,472 ng/dL Above normal
March 2014 - 201.45 ng/dL Below normal
April 2014 - 165 ng/dL Below normal
May 2014 - 142 ng/dL Below normal

2015 March 2015 - 1200 ng/dL High end of normal range
April 2015 - 500 ng/dL Normal

Those 3 that I highlighted in red would cause someone to have zero energy. I'm talking, none. Like sleep 10 hrs and be exhausted 4 hours after waking up. No motivation to do anything, let alone train like an MMA fighter needs to. At those levels, any Endo worth a damn would prescribe TRT to any middle aged male...whether he was an MMA fighter or short order cook at Waffle House.

I'm not incredibly knowledgeable about steroids, but that looks like a cycle to me. I'd be happy to be enlightened on it.

The short of it. Vitor abused steroids early in life. By doing so, his natural testosterone production shut down over time, because he was replacing it with synthetic test. Therefore, he caused himself to need synthetic testosterone, to keep his levels in the "normal range". So what you see by those numbers is this....

Feb 1st 2014 - 855.82 ng/dL. (on synethic test...TRT dosage, like 150mg every 7-10 days)
Feb 7th 2014 - 1,472 ng/dL (next injection he took, he bumped it up to 250mg (assuming based on experience), which jumped his levels up above normal range)

I guess he got popped after Feb 7th? Or knew he had a test coming up? So he went off, cold turkey. This tanked his levels to these below....far below normal range.

March 2014 - 201.45 ng/dL
April 2014 - 165 ng/dL
May 2014 - 142 ng/dL

He probably felt like death warmed over at this point.

Fast forward to 2015...in order to be able to physically train, he started back on injections.

2015 March 2015 - 1200 ng/dL (back on TRT dosage here...likely 200mg)
April 2015 - 500 ng/dL (reduced his dosage even more, to like 100mg, likely out of fear of being popped)

Thanks for the information as the most juice I ever took was apple juice.

This is very informative and tells it like it is for those that don't know.

Well even Helen Keller can see thats a cycle. 1200 tho, i wonder did they use a testing method that allowed for additional digits ie 1200.05 or did they just say OH shit hes still juicing lets just reduce it to the normal cut off of 1200 shhh noone will know. Not sure what the actually values that is used in MMA but we use these values at our hospital and healthcare facilities.

Men

270–1070 ng/dL (9–38 nmol/L)

Women

15–70 ng/dL (0.52–2.4 nmol/L)

Children (depends on sex and age at puberty)

2–20 ng/dL or 0.07–0.7 nmol/L

Sounds like Chris is lining up his excuse for a potential lose one last time. If Chris wins he looks like the poster boy for defeating the evil powers of PEDs and will no doubt remind us for the next year. If he loses he's another victim of the biggest cheater to ever grace this earth who can throw a punch.

Guilty, I'm a Vitor fan. I'm also a fan of Chris. What I'm not a fan of is any grown ass man who can't just take care of business with out singing the same cry story so often. Everybody who's heard of MMA knows full well Vitor uses, everybody, nobody is denying it. Many also know thats he's not the only one especially considering the era of fighting he starting in. Do any of you think I'm wrong in my above post? Do any of you think that if Chris loses this fight he won't blame it on Vitor using PEDs or if Chris wins he will talk about cheating doesn't pay off? I'm not saying that Vitor isn't using or anything like like just that Chris is setting up his options for post fight interview.

I've always wondered the thought process when one fighter tries to discredit another before a fight, wouldn't this make a potential win not mean as much seeing as the guy appearently isn't good or whatever the accusation is? I think it would be awesome if Chris played an angle like "Vitors a fucking legend and multi div champ. When I fight him I want the absolute best Vitor the world has seen and I don't care if its synthetic or not because I'm just that good." (Will tweet that to Chris shortly for approval). I'm not promising anything but I'm extremely confident the my other post will become fact by the end of the night.

I agree regardless. :) for the record I've written many times I think this is Chris' fight to lose. If Vitor wins I'll be happy but I dont see how he does.
yeah. i think that some of the people saying trt less vitor wins, are just hoping to see an era go out in style. even though i'm not a fan of vitor and his nasty hair, i hate to see all of the older guys leaving the sport.
