Would have gotten more if it wasn't tape delayed on the West Coast
It is tape delayed to gain more viewership. NBC has done the same shit to the West Coast during multiple Olympic Games. They do the market research. Viacom knows what works best.

But then again its just another example of east coast > west coast.

There's no way that being tape delayed could increase ratings. Not when results are plastered over social media and forums etc...hours before the event finally starts playing.

I for one didn't even watch the event and I'm sure their were hundreds of thousands that didn't either.

"I suffer from east coast envy." is what your post should have been in this thread.

This goes to show people will tune in more if they headline the show with veterans/old school type guys.

it was cool to me as a one-off or once a year type of thing with the older fighters. I wouldn't keep interest in it long term nor without a good supporting card. I was done with the Pitbull fight and the Kimbo/Sham thing was just like watching the credits of a movie where they show the gag reel ala Smokey and The Bandit.
