I don't see this as an easy money fight, erick silva is a beast first round would be going thru hell for bendo if he can get i to round 2 he will whoop that ass though.

I don't think Erick Silva will have anything for Ben from the jump, tbh. I think Erick is skilled on the ground and he is a great athlete but he has the fight IQ of a 5 year old.

Benson is quickly becoming a the biggest gap fighter for me ever. He went from someone I thought point fought and didn't go for it as much as he should, to a bad ass mother fucker down to fight any and everyone weight class be damned. He's throwin it back to the ole school. I fuckin love this guy. Hawaiians REPRESENT

I'm loving this Bendo 2.0. Seeking out high level guys in a division about normal is a sure way to get respect and more fans. I think Benson takes Erick just on heart alone. Erick is great but he tends to wilt if he doesn't finish or do major damage in the first. Benson is super tough to finish so I don't see the fight ending in one round. I bet it would look very similar to the Thatch fight with Benson fighting smart and being patient then getting a sub or tko in the later rounds. I hope its on Fox or TV so its a main event 5 rounds.

Not only is the 2.0 Bendo becoming more appreciated for his willingness to fight whoever in a higher weight class, and do it well, but I took note that there was not one thank you to his lord and savior following that last win over Thatch, and that only adds to the likability in this newer, better version of him. I've always liked Benson, he's a cool dude even when he is thumping the bible, and yes he got the finish in the Thatch fight which was refreshing and fun and all that, but I am not taking Silva lightly. This guys has one of the more exciting styles in the organization, but as someone else mentioned............he's just not that smart. He kind of reminds me of Barbosa, lots of flash that's just not translating into lots of wins. It would be awesome to someday see Barbosa move up and be matched with Silva!
