Bendo's Bellator debut peaks at 1.1 million

Bellator 153, and truth be told, this is one of those cards where the ratings were all about the main event. The overall average (+3 DVR) is 686,000, which ranks it 3rd out of 6 Bellator events this year and 4th out of the 5 cards they've aired live. However, the main event between Andrey Koreshkov and Benson Henderson "drew 973,000 viewers (10:13-11pm) peaking with 1.1 million viewers at 10:57pm," per a Spike press release. Here's some more info from the press release:

"Bellator 153 saw an impressive jump of 250,000 viewers at 9:35pm once the Cleveland Cavaliers- Detroit Pistons game ended (which averaged 3.8 million viewers). In a span of 9 minutes - Bellator 153 went from 495,000 to 743,000. The telecast continued to grow leading into the main event."

Rory Mac could also help them get better ratings. At the same time put on a sick fight with Rory vs Koreshkov.

Glad to see very solid numbers and a solid peak for the main event. I hope bellator runs with this and give Andrey some more attention.

Kickboxing ended at 1 am in the west coast; I'm sure nobody wanted to stay up that late.

Bellator just really has to stay away from sports like nba.

Next Bellator card will go up against the UFC. That'll tell us if Bellator is better off going up against the UFC as opposed to other sports. I think they might do alright.

I agree- it would be tougher if they were going head to head with the UFC's main card, but it doesn't look that way. Looks like Bellator will be ending around the time the UFC's main card starts.

they will be going up against the UFC prelims iirc. So wel will see how things pan out. I might be channel hoping like a motherfucker

I think Bellator could go into the ppv business soon... just out of curiosity would you buy the following card:

Fedor vs Mitrione
McGeary vs Phil Davis
Wanderlei vs Rampage 4
Brooks vs Henderson
Page vs Daley
Cyborg vs Koschek
Kimbo vs Gannon

I think it would do pretty well.

Dude that loser disappear when Cindy O was revealed to be cyber smearing June White? Just curious of the timing. I don't ever go back to the UG so I have no idea what goes on there anymore...

I rarely go to the ug after finding about the admins being in bed with the UFC and Cindy o and logic.

Since then, I automatically assume that anyone who can say no wrong about the UFC and always bashes non UFC orgs, is a shill.

It's pretty much proven at this point. Cindy o was not an isolated incident.

Amazing how quickly that got swept under the rug with threads being moved, deleted, ignored by the owners...and how everyone seemingly forgot it ever happened. Abused spouses going back for another beating.

Most definitely. I had passed some info quite a few years ago to a UG brother so he could post what I found: That one of the owners of the UG, Gabe, was also hosting and building the UFC's sites, Tapout and a few more (NE Pats too). So one of Kirik and Gabe's biggest clients (at the very least) was Lorenzo, Frank and Dana and there was some other sketchy stuff I found re: business connections and supposed payments - all from reliable sources. Kirik was forced to acknowledge Gabe's existence and dance around their relationship with the UFC. It was pretty funny.

That place is a dumpster fire. I just logged in and saw some dipshits looking for me on one of my threads literally 8 months after I last posted on the UG (August 2015)
