Yeah.
But it's impossible to reason with these alt folk.
He doesn't understand that if everyone was given a fair share of the profits everyone would benefit.
Even the billionaire or multi millionaire will benefit as society becomes more equal.
If you argue against this and you aren't the billionaire or multi millionaire you are either dumb or completely brainwashed.
Humans are not born greedy. You have to learn it.
But it's really not worth arguing with people who are being taken advantage of and advocating it's their right for this to happen to.
I would say the person who is being unreasonable would be the one advocating a system that has completely failed for a century.
People repeating empty socialist platitudes, prove that you simply do not understand the basic laws and principles of economics or history.
People who are working for a profit with a company are receiving their share in pay, benefits, bonus' and yes owning part of the company with stocks if they so choose. Giving the profits to those who had no part of building it is called theft. The profits are not just money that appears from the ether and these people are grabbing more, it is the direct result of their thought and labor.
You wanting to take a percentage of the thought and labor of others is a form of serfdom or slavery and it is the very definition of the greed you claim to be against. That principle doesn't change just because someone makes a million instead of 100K. It's the same for a CEO compared to a mail clerk, just as it is for an NBA star compared to a towel boy.
Profit as a whole is not a zero sum game, it is created. If you want to raise the level of income for the poor then the programs should not be focused on redistribution, they should be focused on teaching people to create value. Once again, this is not even a debate. Both systems have been tried for a century. Capitalism resulted in the greatest advances and the highest standard of living in human history. Socialism resulted in millions dead and complete economic collapse.
Just a few years ago all of you people were pointing at Venezuela as the example. They were doing everything you are talking about, taking over companies and profits, redistribution schemes, and on and on, and now you act surprised they are yet another failure and want to claim they were somehow not real socialism.
By the way "democratic" socialism is just rebranded socialism, the principles and goals are the same. Hell it's more like fascism.
The reason you people have to fall back to "these guys aren't worth talking to", is because you don't have a leg to stand on and you know it. You have a track record of 100% failure. Your economic system is nonsense that violates every law of economics. Your record on human rights is abysmal.
The bottom line is you bought the propaganda because it makes you feel good about yourself. They tell you that their system is for people who believe in education, compassion, and advancement of society. So you ignore the reality because you have some emotional void that they are filling. It's hollow propaganda and the the historic facts prove it.
