However, I'm probably the only one on this site to either know anything about Dead Prez or listen to them.

I have met them twice, once at Tramps and the other at SOB's. They are real cool w/Lord Jamar from Brand Nubian.

Dead Prez were amazing. I always thought this was one of the best intro's to an album ever:

And this song was a personal favourite of mine:

I remember reading Animal Farm right around the same time I bought this album and I was all about it.

Yea.... You're the only one to ever hear of dead Prez.... You really think very highly of yourself.

You're probably the only one on here who knows who Talib Kwali or Immortal Technique are too....

Don't get me started on Immortal Technique... I met that guy once and he was all sorts of taken back because I had a shirt making fun of GW Bush that had a swastika for the "S" in Bush. I asked him to sign it and he looked at me with these crazy eyes! lol. It was a great show at a small venue here in Olrando...for a couple of white kids at the time, we were pretty bold chilling with the homies from around the way... :p

The entire Revolutionary: Vol 2 is a masterpiece that I don't believe he lived up to afterwards. I'm still a huge fan but that one album really hit home...

there is not one song that I could say is the "best". it changes every day for me. I love hip hop. love it.

my all time favorites:

People Under The Stairs
Souls of Mischief / Heiro
Blue Scholars
EPMD
Common
Gangstarr
Bone Thugs
Geto boys

but my all time favorite rap album is Jazzmatazz Vol. 1 by Guru. its simply perfect.

There are a few all time favorites, some I will decline to mention since they are my personal joy :)

But these deserve to be mentioned in ANY discussion...
