I didn't make this list but it looks pretty accurate.

NFL - 1972 Miami Dolphins

The greatest team to play the greatest game. The gold standard of professional football. There is a reason no team has ever matched what the 72 Fins did -win every game in the regular season and the playoffs en route to a Super Bowl title.

Some say it's lonely at the top, but I disagree.

NCAAF - 2001 University of Miami Hurricanes

The 2001 Miami Hurricanes are widely viewed as the best college football team of all-time. They simply destroyed their competition that season, winning each game by an average score of 42-10.

NBA - 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls

Jordan, Pippen, Rodman. A then record season of 72 wins and only 10 losses (eclipsed later by GSW, but because the Warriors lost the championship to the Cavs they can't be considered). MJ is widely regarded as the greatest player ever, and this was his greatest team.

MLB - 1998 New York Yankees

They were pretty good I guess.

NHL - The 1982-1983 Edmonton Oilers

I don't watch ice hockey but a Canadian confirmed this and I believe him.
the 98 yankees definitely deserve that title the 2001 mariners had two more wins but didn't win the world series that year even with the most wins in baseball history.

the 2007 ducks are the best team that will ever exist in nhl history no hyperbole!

On the road to glory
Ain't no turning back
It's got to be the Mighty Ducks
On a quack attack
Look out, clear the way
The Ducks are here to play!

Ducks rock!
Ducks rock!

Mighty Ducks!
Here come the Mighty Ducks
Burning up the ice
Just try and stop the Mighty Ducks
And you're gonna pay the price!

Here come the Mighty Ducks
Fighting for the gold!
Let's hear it for the Mighty Ducks
Time to rock and roll

Let's go, let's go
Ducks rock!
(Mighty Ducks!)
Ducks rock!
Let's hear it for the Mighty Ducks!
(Mighty Ducks!)

shut up you stupid bitch. 5x national champs ive celebrated for my team. go out to the pasture and tell your mom i said hi.
sorry, bro.

the officials tried SO HARD for the Huskers. So Hard.
I liked at the end where Scott Frost groveled for the officials to wave off the FG for a 'taunt'. Classic Nebraska.

Right up there with that OL Oscar flop. Guy should take up fat guy soccer. Football is a lot harder when you're playing in a real conference, huh?

how's your basketball team?
or your wrestling team?

FYI - if 'mediocre' is having 3 losses to ranked teams, how would you describe the Scott Frost era?
they are just games bro. congrats on another year of not winning anything worth a shit.

but without a hint of sarcasm, I can tell you that Nebraska's Women's Bowling Team may be the greatest sports team of all time - as a program from its inception in 1996, or for the (IIRC) 2005 team as a single year team.

Bill Straub is an amazing coach, and has built a real empire.

Unlike the fake plastic empire of Tom Osborne.

wrestling team?
Their wrestling team is no Hawkeyes but they're nationally ranked and got 1 of my good friends sons going there next year aka top 3 nationally ranked 195 pounder and top 20 overall recruit Silas Allred! They have produced 2 world champions in Burroughs and Green and not to mention Burroughs is an olympic gold medalist! Nebraska wrestling is damn good just not Iowa great but they're far from scrubs!

kudos for being the big fish in a terribly small pond. most programs dont even have wresting anymore. come to iowa for wrestling. great training to be a bouncer at all of our gay bars.
if you're looking for people to chime in on an MMA forum to disparage wrestling as a competitive sport....might be a while.

here's Nebraska's Jake Stoll exhibiting all of the integrity we can expect in a Scott Frost 'led' team.

I put 'led' in quotes because here's what he had to say about his team after the loss to Iowa. The 8-3, #17 Iowa Hawkeyes, to whom they gave up almost 200 yds of offense in the first quarter, and lost on a 48 yd field goal with time expiring...

"I inherited a team that has weak confidence."

LoL. but on the positive side, only having weak professional character still puts him ahead of Lawrence Phillips, another star of the 1995 team.
He was a known woman-beater while he played at Nebraska, but Tom Osborne got him out jams while he was winning football games and contending for a Heisman. Remember when he broke in to Scott Frost's apartment and beat Scott's girlfriend (Lawrences's ex-gf) in front of him, and then Scott watched while Lawrence grabbed her by her hair and dragged her down 3 flights of stairs? Aside from being another shining example of Scott Frost's character, don't forget that Tom Osborne re-instated Phillips in to the program because "punishing him would only make him worse".

Seriously, that was how adept Tom was at keeping his moral compass oriented at "Winning".
