Bethe Correia inks new eight-fight contract with the UFC

It seems Bethe Correia has no reason to worry about her future. As the women's bantamweight title challenger posted on her Instagram, she has just signed a new eight fight deal contract with the UFC.

Elated, Bethe shared the news with her fans yesterday.

"I'm very happy today. Through a lot of work, sweat, blood, punches to the face and a lot more, I'm renewing my UFC contract for eight more fights. I'll be able to give my fans at least eight more fights on TV and a chance to follow my life and my camps. I will always give my best."

I dont know about the "has no reason to worry about her future" part, seeing these contracts aren't for guaranteed money & Zuffa can cut anyone, anytime. But good for her. I think she's awesome & hope he does well for herself.

Probably because it was getting embarrassing to have all these women compete for the title for 15-15 or worse. Bethe made 12-12 for her last win. Cat Zingano also jumped in pay scale for her title shot, going from 9-9, to 100k show and presumably 100k win. It's a shame for Alexis Davis, who made 24-24, for her title shot, and 15-15 for her fight before it. Sarah Mcmann also made just 16k for her title shot.

How about if she pulls a miracle upset and has 7 more fights at 20,000/20,000. Makes no sense to sign the contract before the fight. Unless it has a huge escalator clause in it.
