ONE Championship announced that Bibiano Fernandes will put his bantamweight title on the line in 19 days.
Fernandes, undefeated under the ONE banner with six wins, including five title fights, is scheduled to take on Kevin Belingon in the main event of ONE Championship 36 in Changsha, China, on Jan. 23.
"ONE Championship continues its dedication to cultivating the sport of mixed martial arts in China with another adrenaline-filled night of fights," ONE CEO Victor Cui stated in a release. "This is a great way to start 2016 and is just the tip of the iceberg of what’s to come. Our success in Beijing sets the stage for an even better event in Changsha."
Fernandes (18-3) last defended his 135-pound title in July, scoring his first knockout victory in almost four years against Toni Tauru. Belingon (13-4), winner of four of his last six fights inside the ONE Championship cage, hasn’t fought since a win over Koetsu Okazaki in 2014.
