Selling it doesn't seem legal
I recall an interview 3 years ago where it was suggested and the answer was that they couldn't do it because it would violate certain fed statutes.
This was in relation to "why are we just letting it sit there and rust/rot?"
It was already said, but since when does the govt - at any level - care about what's legal?
When Trump wanted tighter federal border policy, local & state govts across the whole country basically said "yeah, we're not gonna do that - we're 'sanctuary cities'."
When Texas was actually striving to secure the border, Biden was *this* close to sending the National Guard down there to fight them over it.
The govt might care about a lot of things, but what is or isn't "legal" sure as shit ain't one of 'em.
