For what it's worth, I don't subscribe to the "good guy with a gun" theory. But if the synagogue had no "good guys with a gun" and many deaths, and the mall had many "good guys with guns" and no deaths. It doesn't really support your claim that people with guns didn't have a bearing on the outcome.Oh my bad, the shooting victims.
That department should be banned from using the word "diligent".
Are you trying to claim the motives for both shooting were the same? For what it's worth, I don't subscribe to the "good guy with a gun" theory. I can't pretend to know the answer to any of these questions. We'll have to wait for the braintrust at the Hoover PD to find someone to pin it on.Are you trying to claim the motives for both shooting were the same?
Did the police or the victim engage the shooter?
Do you think the shooter at the mall intended to harm more targets?
You forgot Sutherland Springs.“The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun”
- Sandy Hook Elementary
- The Tree of Life synagogue
- Parkland High School
- Thousand Oaks
... And on and on it goes.
With the volume of shootings that happen in the states, I am sure you can find one or two examples. You forgot Sutherland Springs.
If memory serves firearms are used defensively something like 70 000 times a year in the States. Personally, I don't care for the stat as it gives no context, but it does suggest that the "good guy with a gun" narrative isn't completely without merit. Is this the norm or an outlier?
Schools r gun free zones buddy“The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun”

It’s not reported. South African friend of mines mother got threatened with rape by a black cop in a road rage incident.Terrible.
Hey TMMAC, I think we're a demographic of mostly "white" people, IE ethnically caucasian.
I don't see ONE POSTER ever consistently post innocent white people shot by cops.
It's got to happen in greater numbers than "blacks" IE 1/whatever African descent.
Can one of you honkies please step up your game?
I feel there's under-representation here.
Happens often. Just ppl don't throw the word "white" in the title of the story. And we don't stand in the highway holding signs.Terrible.

It's too late, the mods have let this place go for too long. It's becoming that same cesspool of race baiting and political troll threads we left once before.@HEATH VON DOOM DO SOMETHING!!!!!!
I dont think it does, that good guy with a gun was a hero.If memory serves firearms are used defensively something like 70 000 times a year in the States. Regarding the Sutherland Springs shooting specifically, I often wonder why that one has a blind eye turned on it completely.
There you go with your ethnocentric assumptions.Hey TMMAC, I think we're a demographic of mostly "white" people, IE ethnically caucasian.
.
You don't feel it does. There's a difference.I dont think it does.
How's the fall crop coming? There you go with your ethnocentric assumptions.
This isnt the first time it has been discussed and this is an mma thread. It didnt get a blind eye.You don't feel it does. There's a difference.
My mistake, I misunderstood your post. This isnt the first time it has been discussed and this is an mma thread. It didnt get a blind eye.
Authorities have captured the person they believe fired that shots that injured two people and led to the deadly officer-involved shooting of Emantic Bradford Jr in the Riverchase Galleria on Thanksgiving night.
Some top notch reporting there:
Hoover police say investigators believe that more than two individuals were involved in the initial altercation, including 21-year-old Bradford.
However, new evidence indicates that Bradford Jr. did not fire the shots that injured two people as originally indicated.
The part I quoted is updated news. The part you additionally quoted was reported two days ago. Some top notch reporting there:
