so you're not going to explain BLM relevance or why a cop's fear of being shot at work is rational?

and I've already explained the extent to which I 'support' BLM. I've never given them financial or other material support. I've not campaigned for the virtues of their cause. I do not agree with their assignment of power and privilege as the driving forces of society. I support their right to peaceably assemble and petition the government for a redress of their community's grievances, free from the initiation of violence by the state, inasmuch as they initiate no violence.

I have had sex with an African American woman, but not an African American man.

What the fuck else do you want to know before you explain the relevance of this, or simply go back to explaining why a cop should let fear of being shot color his judgment?

I can tell by the page that you've wasted on irrelevant BLM baiting that you have no answer for why a cop should fear being shot at work.

The conversation stopped when u decided not to answer a simple question and turned it into a page of "but why should I answer that question? What r u Gona say if I answer it". Now I don't even care anymore and you're probably fat

i answered your question twice about "What BLM Means To Me".

so hit me with your big Reveal on this irrelevant tangent, and then try answering WHY cops should fear being shot by the people they're sworn to protect.

    waiting.

    still.

Oh - I get it now. You thought I was going to be some sort of anti-cop SJW.

But now you've laid this breadcrumb trail so far that you're embarrassed to admit that your trap was ineffective.
Now you have to try and figure out how to divert attention from your factually inaccurate argument again.

    No hurry. I'll wait.

and I'm fatter than I used to be, but not fat.

Because BLM is based on bullshit numbers and irrational fears much worse than the ones you are arguing here. So if u support them you are a jackass

    that's an ad hominem fallacy.
I could be an idiot about supporting BLM and completely accurate about the irrationality of cops fearing death on the job.

so why are cops' fears of death on the job, specifically the fear of being shot/assaulted by citizens, a rational fear?

They deal w a lot of violent incidents. Small town cops maybe not as much. City cops yes. It's hard to generalize how all cops should feel. Depends where at. I doubt a small town cop pulling a soccer mom over has the same fear as a city cop pulling over a car full of gang members in a car w tinted windows

i'm not dismissive of their feelings, I'm just saying those feelings need to be based in reality.
Guys like David Grossman shouldn't be teaching cops how to deal with citizens.

I dont think they are running around like scared rabbits (apologies if that wasn't you who used that term) But in situations where someone has a gun and doesn't comply or there is a gun call and the suspect flees, their fear could be justified. But you have made me examine my views so thank you.

For many industries "yes" only needs to be the response to the last question to see them brought before a court when someone has been killed as a result of their actions.

99.9% of police officers never experience an on the job shooting.

99% of police officers dont know an officer who has been shot in the face.

This happened in Hoover, which isn't a city. It's a fancy suburb (or what passes for such in AL).

AL is an open carry state, so they see more non-criminal civilians with guns than hardened criminals.
