Reading the article on mmafighting about Silva drug test, Bennett spins the article into how the UFC was fighting against PED and how he praised them. This is exactly what you see with the Obama administration one covering up for the other, then he goes on to say the time line for results are unacceptable and results will be within 7 days. If they can get them in 7 why haven't htey already? Is a million dollar fight not more important than a routine drug check for a cosco employee? I know I know that lab doesn't test cosco employees but that whole statement seems like a "I'm mad" cover up. I still stand by they had the results and both the UFC and NSAC decided to make the money then worry about the lil fan response. This surely warrants an investigation.

I don't have a problem with his statement. He is acknowledging the problem and setting forth the parameters for the future. To me it's a problem if he doesn't follow through on this going forward.

It's clear the out of competition testing is working in that they have caught two of the biggest starts already this year with illegal substances in their system. This should be a huge red flag for any other cheaters going forward. It's a new era and you can't get away with cheating any more like in the past.

The big issue to deal with is what to do when you catch guys cheating like this. It's going to be expensive when they have to start cancelling fights in the future. There will be huge backlash when that happens and huge financial repercussions.

The out of competition testing hasn't been going on that long so far. But it has caught a lot of big name guys already; Vitor, Jones, Wand, Chael, Anderson...
They just need to keep it up and guys will realize they need to change their behaviour in the future.

Sounds like he said more.....

NSAC Executive Director Bob Bennett said that it was “unacceptable” to get the results as late as they did.
"It was unacceptable that we got the results three weeks later. Sometimes things fall through the cracks. This is one of them. But it’s unacceptable."
“Our goal now is that once the collector sends the specimen up to the lab, they’re gonna make every effort to get us the results within those seven working days.”

Corruption, sleazy, disgusting, bully tactics and behavior by the UFC brass is the main reason that kept me from buying anything UF.C related for two years. In my opinion, they are just as bad, if not worse than boxing.

I agree, Bob im sure has been instructed to publicly down the reason the results wasn't receive when i wouldn't be surprised to see they had the results way ahead of the fight. Then to sit there and praise the UFC for taken a stance on PEDs when now the decide to allow Silva to remain a coach, I understand he is a former champ and maybe he really didn't know what the doc was injecting, who knows, but I know if they took a stance like they should, Silva would be suspended and pulled from TUF,does that sound like they took the proper stance, of course not, when have then ever. And good ole Bob is being rewarded I'm sure.

If they cancel the fight before it goes through then Vegas as a city stands lose to hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars. Are you really surprised that the results took that long to come through, I am not.
