Burt Watson starts MMA promotion company

There is no denying that Burt Watson was one of the most beloved backstage figures in the UFC. Dubbed as “The Babysitter for the Stars”, Watson parted ways with the company in 2015 due to some grievances from his end.

Now, the 69-year-old has come a long way since leaving the UFC, as he now runs his own promotion company. Per MMAFighting.com, Burt Watson Promotions is set to begin holding events this spring in Florida, aptly named “We Rollnn MMA.” The first fight card will take place on June 15th at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Fort Lauderdale.

With this new venture in place, Watson’s primary goal is to introduce up-and-coming fighters who can turn into future…

I've known Burt a long time. The fighters pretty much love and appreciate him. It will be interesting to see what his role is and how he handles now being part of management. I'm sure he will do great.
