I use mostly CBD and also some edible THC for sleep aid. I do have some memory problems but it could just be from being older.

Memory problems from cannabis may last long after quitting, scientists warn

In a nutshell
  • People who have used cannabis more than 1,000 times show reduced brain activity during memory tasks, even long after stopping use
  • The effects were most noticeable in brain regions responsible for working memory
  • While the study found impacts on memory function, other mental tasks like emotional processing, language, and logical thinking weren’t significantly affected by heavy cannabis use

Also cause temper tantrums aka Joe Roganitis. Smoking occasionally is good but most people abuse. I've been guilty of such behavior. Most potheads are in extreme denial about it's "benefits".

The key to everything is moderation. Anything can be harmful if you overdo it.

I'm cautious about any type of dependency. I don't want to create a need for THC by overusing it. I skip the next day of use if I used the night before.

I'm up to about once a week. It's only when I drink and socialize. I don't use it all for "pain" or to relax after work. After I'm done working there is always shit to do at home and a different strain won't help me do a task quicker than being sober no matter what Tommy Chong says.

Cannabis, CBD, even delta-9...I can't handle any of it. All of it makes me incredibly sick and feel like I wanna radically hurl my guts up (which I often do).

Guess I'm just biologically hard-wired to not be able to tolerate it. lol

I use it multiple times daily as a straight up cure for my insomnia, and lately I discovered eating RSO wipes out all my IBS symptoms. The stupefaction is also a benefit to keep my overactive brain from conjuring anxiety out of thin air.

It's medicine.

That's weird because our bodies have an ECS (endocannabinoid system) which is used by Cannabis.

I like to say that folks that can't hang just have an extremely dried out ECS that needs to be primed. lol

I smoke usually once per day
Long term memory is really good still
Short term pretty good but will turn up an occasional blank spot
No high power dabs, just some flower/bud

I started using THC tincture two years ago due to insomnia. I’ve used a multitude of sleep medications over the years and hate the side effects and the “hangover” in the morning. Prior to this I have never used THC products. I use the RSO mixed with MCT oil as a carrier as my tincture. I rarely drink, don’t smoke and try to eat healthy. I’m in good shape-57 years old, 6-01 and a lean 220 pounds. I do have Gulf War Syndrome from a multitude of chemical exposures from my time in the USMC. The GWS, now called Chronic Multi Symptom Illness by the VA, can be pretty brutal at times. Chronic pain, intestinal issues, insomnia and other issues. Best way to describe this is that I have a bad case of the flu that never ends. Not complaining here, just giving some background. I have blood work done every three months so that I can stay ahead of issues and know what to take to try and mitigate as much as possible with supplements and hormones. I take no pain meds, only maintenance meds for blood pressure. An inflammation marker in the blood, C-Reactive Protein, is a general marker for inflammation in the body. It doesn’t say what is causing it. The higher the number, the more inflammation. Normal is under 1, an indicator for heart disease is around 10, and lupus and other inflammatory diseases run around 15. Mine has always been 50 and higher, with my highest being 86. My doctor said it was the highest he had ever seen. Since taking the THC tincture, that CRP number has steadily been dropping. My last blood test showed the CRP under 1. First time in 25 years it’s been normal. My pain levels are way down. Pretty remarkable what has happened. I sleep like a baby, wake up with no lingering effects like with prescribed sleep medications and my pain levels are the lowest they have been in a LONG time. My workouts are better, my head is clearer because I’m not spending so much brain power ( and I don’t have much) dealing with the pain. I only take the THC tincture at night. I don’t care anything about being high, I only use it for sleep. THC for me, and I know everyone is different, has been a life changer. I think if used correctly and as a medicine there are benefits. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Sorry for the long post

Even redman quit weed because it was slowing him down from all the things he was trying to get done. I used to be a big weed smoker but once I quit my productivity went way up because marijuana changes the way you perceive time same goes for beer.

There's a time and a place for everything. I've been using cannabis, off and on(mostly on), since I was 12-13 years old. When I was teenager, I was high from about an hour after I woke up until I went to bed. That was definitely detrimental. As an adult, it's reserved for mostly evenings. What I've learned over the years is that most, but definitely not all, of the lazy douche stoners are still lazy douches without cannabis.

Alcohol makes me way more lazy and unmotivated, with the exception of whiskey/bourbon. Whiskey and bourbon make me adventurous, which it not a good thing at all, so I avoid it except for special occasions.

THC and CBD are not drugs, they're supplements.

A drug is, “Any substance that is used to prevent, diagnose, treat, or relieve symptoms of a disease or abnormal condition. Drugs can also affect how the brain and the rest of the body work and cause changes in mood, awareness, thoughts, feelings, or behavior.”

Zoloft affects serotonin but we already have serotonin receptors. It is a drug. Marijuana is a drug…

It just doesn't do any of that shit to me.

I'm very productive, always trying new things. Highly motivated.

The memory thing, I don't know. I've always been forgetful since childhood. So since childhood, I've had the habit of writing important shit down.

Could the thc have made it a little worse? Possibly. But not anything noticeable for sure.

Maybe it's because I regulate shit. Daytime is for work. Nighttime is for relaxing.

I was just getting my car inspected the other day and the shop smelled like weed. Couldn't imagine smoking at 10am. Daytime is productive time.

I was going to a jujitsu class in Waltham MA shortly after ufc1 most days as soon as you walked in the place it reeked of weed, sometimes during warm up the owner would hand us over to a high rank and say “you warm them up I’ll be right back” within 5min the place reeked then after maybe 15 min he’d show back up and take over class

someone above said there’s a time and place for everything I agree

The difference for me is that it's not synthetically produced.
