This is what you get when you pander.

"Representation" is bullshit that does not matter at all.

If you need to see someone that looks like you on TV or in film for personal validation, you're a pathetic failure of a human being.

Fuck your validation.

Token America is NOT Captain America. Han Solo even tells him hes not in the previews. Fucker already ruined Altered Carbon and now hes gonna ruin this.I hope this movie bombs worse than any other Marvel movie.

Makes you wonder if this piece of shit wasnt the reason the tv show was so political and anti white. Mackie is just a bitter hater.
From what Im reading alot of people are pissed over this and it may make token America bomb ever harder.

Here is what I don't understand.

Why "re-imagine" or re-do older movies and alter them with wokism?

If you want a gay superhero, write a new one with a new story. Why steal superman and put a dick in his mouth?

If you want a black superhero who represents amerimexico, then create one and write a good story about him.

If you want a trans superhero, or a mentally ill one, write a story and create a new hero or find one that already exists (because they do) and then make that story and hero really good.

Stop trying to steal something that isn't what you want it to be and expect people to love it.

Create your own stories.

To boil it down, progressivism or whatever you want to call it, doesn't build, but destroys.

I'm putting on the same list as the black panther movies, never gonna watch them
You're not missing much. It's kind of funny though, it's a movie about a hyper isolationist, super advanced country trying to stop a militant black guy from sharing their technology with the world.

Y'all didn't read a lot of the comics, did you?
This style of post is why you come across as supercilious.

Rather than sneering at everyone for their apparent lack of comic book superhero knowledge, why don't you simply explain to the rest of us ignoramuses why we might be mistaken?

If someone's reaction to a public statement isn't "I should probably take ten seconds to Google this instead of immediately making about an actor's race" I don't really care how I come across to them.

Why is it be on me to do their homework? Why do they have such strong opinions if they aren't familiar with the character? Even in your case, you could have just said., "I not familiar, could you tell me?". That, or looking it up yourself would have taken substantial less time than you needed to dictate your post request to your Indian scribe.

Captain America represents the ideals of the American dream or the American way. This is why he fought against the American government at points both in movies and comics. An actor saying "It’s about a man who keeps his word, who has honor, dignity and integrity.” isn't exactly out of line with anything that's ever existed about the character. But you know, he's black, so we're big mad.

He fought for America against the government but go ahead and word it so it fits your narrative. Steven Rodgers is a GD patriot.
